What is acrylic?

Acrylic (acrylate) is a mixture of a liquid monomer and a synthetic powder known as acrylic powder. Under the influence of UV or LED lamps, this composition polymerises and hardens. This activates a chemical reaction that gives the material the desired properties.

Acrylic coating has a number of advantages: it is hypoallergenic and withstands a long time without changes. The resistance of this material allows you to wear it for up to three months with regular correction. Moreover, acrylic is suitable for restoring damaged nails, helping them to regain a beautiful and well-groomed look.

Benefits of acrylic nail extensions

✅ Acrylics are truly long-lasting, especially when applied by an experienced nail technician. It stays on your nails beautifully for weeks, making you happy with its durability and elegant look.

✅ When it comes to kicking the nail nibbling habit, acrylic nail polish is a real lifesaver. Its durability keeps even the shortest nails in perfect condition, while its high degree of wear resistance ensures long-lasting protection.

✅ If you break a nail, you can easily file an acrylic nail yourself at home until you can visit your nail technician again.

✅ The easiest way to remove the nail is to have a professional do it, soaking the nail beforehand and then filing it gently until the material is completely removed.

Disadvantages of acrylic

✅ Acrylic nails can look less natural than gel alternatives, especially when done by a non-professional who does not know how to carefully file and shape them.

✅ If acrylics are not properly cared for, they can cause damage to the nails, creating favourable conditions for fungi and bacteria to grow. Consult your nail technician for advice on acrylic nail care to keep your nails healthy and beautiful.
