The Germix SM-504 Ultraviolet Sterilizer is designed for the disinfection of plastic, glass and other materials which cannot be exposed to high temperatures. The ultraviolet sterilizer is equipped with a 6 W bactericidal lamp. The ultraviolet rays have great bactericidal power and are devastating to the vegetative forms of most types of viruses and bacteria, but are unable to destroy persistent spore forms.

The working principle of the unit is based on the bactericidal action of irradiating ultraviolet light, which has long been known as a good sterilizer. Working with the sterilizer is safe for the user's health due to the fact that the UV lamp does not ozonize and the original design of the product provides complete protection from UV radiation to the personnel without disabling it.
